The international sculpture festival brings to Pärnu the great figures and classics of Estonian sculpture as well as foreign artists. In the urban space, large-scale objects are exhibited, which illustrate summer Pärnu and add value to the modern professional cultural space.

Sculpture festival FORM

Sculptures, objects, interactive site- and context-based works on the theme “FORM” are exhibited at the festival’s exhibitions.

“The material nature of the phenomenon requires its spatial delimitation, but the internal nature of the phenomenon is not limited to the extent of matter in space. The deeper we penetrate into the interior of the phenomenon, into the nature of energy, the more the phenomenon itself becomes less spatially limited, becomes more and more locationless. What part does form play in this process? Is content more primary than form or vice versa. Or is the form the content?”

Participants Mari-Liis Tammi, Jüri Ojaver, Tõnu Smith, Eero Ijavoinen, Anonymous Boh, Taje Paldrok, Danny Gonzalez (Puerto Rico), Jyrki Riekki (FIN), Joni Kärkkäinen (FIN), Timo Viiulainen (FIN), Leonhard Lapin, Tiiu Kirsipuu, Ott Jeeser, Per William Petersen (DEN), Payton Koranek (USA) and others.
