Experiment of the embodied action, made possible by technology. The script of the performance is created by the signals from live brain activity of the artist Marija Griniuk. These signals are the score for the movement-based performance by Kaspar Aus. The artists are performing in two separate rooms and the audience members can encounter both parts of performance by walking from one room to another. Performance “The monument for the present moment” is the part of the doctoral research by Marija Griniuk at The University of Lapland in Finland. The performance will be documented by video and photo-recordings. The artist is interested in egnaging into the conversations with the audience members after the performence to gain deeper understanding about how the artwork was experienced. The performance is kindly supported by Pärnu Art Week, Nordisk Kulturfond Opstart, Finnish Institute in Estonia and TelepART.
