Nordic Baltic Art Center NOBA is inviting art institutions to participate in Art Week Pärnu Final Programme this summer. Art Market will be held on Martens Square on Saturday, 24 July, and Big Art Day on Independence Square on Sunday, 25 July.
Both national and international institutions are welcome to participate – galleries, groupings, associations, schools – either on one or both days. Art Market is an event with horizontal trading areas for the purpose of art sale and Big Art Day is a pop-up exposition where institutions present their activities on vertically segmented areas. Both events take place outdoors in Pärnu City Centre and are accompanied by an arts and entertainment programme. The events are suitable for the whole family and are attractive for both domestic and international tourists, offering institutions an ideal opportunity for promotion and a chance to go on an exciting outing.
Participating in the Art Week Pärnu Final Programme is free of charge for NOBA members and for those intending to become a member; the membership application form can be found here.
The participation fee for non-members is €50. Stalls and display areas are provided by the organisers; participants must bring along the rest of the necessary equipment.
Please notify us of your participation at email@example.com at the first opportunity.
In addition to the Final Programme, NOBA is inviting artists to participate in an idea contest, more details can be found on the Art Week website kunstinadal.ee.
The concept of Art Week Pärnu, held from 17-25 July 2021, grew out of art weeks organised by the Estonian Artists’ Association in cities all over the country. This tradition was revived by NOBA in 2016 as Tallinn Art Week. This year the curatorial theme of the Art Week is ‘Thread of Life – Absurdity of Time’. Sculptures and installations are to be expected in the city centre, performances and happenings in the beach area; window and space solutions will be created for expositions requiring indoor conditions; a movie and an audience programme will be held; local artists and gallerists will open their workspaces as part of a bicycle tour.
